Keller Williams’ own Joe Williams spoke to real estate agents and leaders in Moore County on May 20, 2010. There was a great turnout at the Aberdeen Parks and Rec building. Ray Ogden, of Partners in Progress, spoke on the economic picture in Moore County with many new businesses moving to the area. Then Joe Williams spoke on the changing face of the real estate market…primarily technology.
KW RED DAY….The one day a year that all Keller Williams agents give back to the community where they live. Our office held a food drive for the local food bank and delivered 4425 lbs of goods to the food bank in Southern Pines!!!! Yes, that’s approximately 2.25 tons! Thank you to Moore County for your generosity!
What a fantastic birthday! Thank you so much to all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes…and for those who may have missed the first few posts on Friday let me recap.
My husband, Bick, told me weeks ago he wanted to surprise me with a ‘surprise’ birthday trip. So, we left Friday afternoon….I knew the first turn was to the left but never figured out the rest of the turns, as I was sitting in the back seat wearing a wide-brimmed visor looking down at my laptop, or work, or cell phone the entire way and boy did I have a sore neck Saturday morning. I never peeked…really I didn’t! 4 ½ hours later we were at our destination.
I continued to wear the visor and looking down as we walked through the hotel and up to our room. Bick opened the door and I recognized the layout…we were at the Embassy Suites. AND… then from the other room out popped my daughter, Lambeth and her husband, Jamil, who live in the DC area. What a wonderful surprise! Then I asked “Where am I?” having no idea which state, much less which city I was in…it was WILLIAMSBURG!
Though a pretty good nip in the air yesterday (Saturday) we toured Colonial Williamsburg, had some great food, opened presents, had exceptional service at the Embassy Suites and thoroughly enjoyed my hubby’s surprise trip especially visiting with my daughter. Oh, by the way, the reason for all of this special treatment is that I’m now 60!!!!!! Ouch!
Another Wednesday night at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Whispering Pines, NC for “all you can eat” pizza for only $5.50 per person…better eat it all ‘cause you can’t take it home with you! Great friends and great fun! Going to check out Thursday nights with “all you can eat” ribs. I know, Lambeth….what diet (lifestyle) has pizza…..but it’s sooo thinnnn you hardly taste it!
Got lucky at the office the other day and won our charity pool, ( no, not charity for me, but part of it went to Keller Williams ”Care”) so I brought breakfast in for the team meeting and then……I had a pedicure! One of the best facilities at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club is the SPA. What a wonderful experience!
Spy City, USA is in Washington, DC!
Nightlife in Washington, DC is unbelievable! Last weekend we drove from Pinehurst to Reston to visit our daughter and her husband. We spent an interesting evening at the Spy City Cafe and the Spy Museum with the hands-on, one hour “Spy at Night” mission. We actively worked with others in our group to find the missing nuclear trigger as well as figuring out who all was involved in the theft.
